Contamination Cord

The Irish Sea has been described by Greenpeace as the most radioactively contaminated sea in the world. A nasty cocktail of nuclear waste, heavy metals, faecal pollution and much more is fast becoming a health and safety issue.

We invented the Contamination Cord to put a spotlight on the issue. Contamination Cord is a wristband with an alert activation system. Specially designed rope materials react to contaminants in sea water and change the cords colour accordingly.
